- Former interior minister and leader of the National Liberation Front (FLN), Mr. El Hadi Khediri, died Monday of illness at the age of 77, announced Tuesday the news agency APS.
The funeral of the deceased will be held Tuesday in Algiers, in the cemetery of Ben Aknoun, after Al Asr prayer.
- Having held several positions of responsibility, the Mujahid El Hadi Khediri joined the ranks of the National Liberation Army (ALN) in the early 1960s, at the Algerian-Moroccan border.
- In addition to the Interior Ministry, the deceased assumed the portfolio of Transport, after having been Director General of National Security. He was also ambassador to Tunisia.
