Palestinian victim, Eyad Omar Sajdia, was a 22-year old student, said the ministry of Palestinian Health.
Qalandiya refugee camp houses 11,000 Palestinian refugees who fled their villages during the Arab-Israeli war in 1948 (the year of the proclamation of the State of Israel), according to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA).
Open in 1949 as a provisional camp, Qalandiya has become a town.
Nearly 60% of its population are under 25 years old and one inhabitant in five is unemployed, according to UNRWA.
Qalandiya is located between Ramallah, West Bank, and al-Quds.
