The statement says that the two officials “broached issues relating to the fight against the non proliferation of nuclear technology and for the generalisation of peaceful use of this resource as part of sustainable development policies,”.
“It is in this regard that the IAEA was requested to support the efforts of developments of peaceful uses of nuclear energy, particularly in the field of health and thus, through training,” Yukiya Amano underlined.
“While welcoming Algeria’s consistent position for its unchanging principles, The Director General of the IAEA expressed his organization’s availability to share its experience and facilitate all kinds of cooperation deemed bearer,” said the statement.
The minister of Energy, Salah Khebri has also attended the meeting, according to APS.
