Hungarian ambassador to Algeria Helga Katalin Pritz said, Saturday night in Biskra, that Algeria and Hungary “share cultural and historical relations”.
The diplomat said, during her visit to the province of Biskra, coinciding with the celebration of the 105th anniversary of the passage of the Hungarian musician and composer Béla Bartok (1881-1945) in the capital of the Ziban, that “a solid friendship and strong links between Algeria and Hungary and the musical works of Béla Bartok constitute a common wealth linking the two countries “.
She added that this pianist and composer who brought with him to Biskra recordings of 119 pieces of folk music from Eastern Europe and drew on the heritage of the region of Biskra to compose symphonies which conquered the world and delighted the audience in theaters in the East and West.
