The first edition of the National Children’s Theater Festival was opened, Thursday afternoon, at Louise Françoise public reading library in El Tarf, at the initiative of the local cultural association ” El Amel ” for the heritage and tourism promotion.
Placed under the slogan “Theater, Education and Creativity”, this first edition, witnessed a large influx of children who came to this joyous world of the beautiful stories and colors.
The edition offers 17 performances that will be provided by troops and cultural associations invited from the cities of Setif, El Tarf, El Oued, Cheraga (Algiers), Sidi Bel Abbes, Mila, Ain Defla, Naama, Annaba and Tiaret, said the Local Director of Culture, Adel Saifi.
This recreational cultural event, which coincides with the winter holidays, aims, he said, “to cultivate in children the love of boards from an early age”, and to “allow theatrical troupes to perform on the scene”.
Various shows of clowns and magic will also be given in the 24 communes of the wilaya as part of this cultural event, added the same source.
The National Children’s Theater Festival will continue until the 25th of December, highlighted the Local Director.
