The play, “Nathan the wise”, or live together in peace, an interreligious dialogue between representatives of the three monotheistic religions, was presented Thursday in Algiers, by the association ” Inter Religious Friendship” of the city d’Istres (Marseille).

Lasting 75 minutes, the show, hosted at the National Theater Mahieddine -Bachtarzi (Tna), was staged in a version adapted to the 21st century, by Bertrand and Alice Kaczmarek. The script was written in 1779 by the playwright and German philosopher Gotthold Ephraim Lessing (1729-1781), a fervent supporter of religious tolerance.

In the presence of the Minister of Culture, Azzeddine Mihoubi and including the founder and director of the Theater “The Toursky” in Marseille, Richard Martin, the public was enchanted by the show.

Organized, under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, by the Mediterranean Agency for Events and Cultural Tourism “Med Voyages” in collaboration with the Tna, the show “Nathan the wise”, was again presented on Friday.
