ALGIERS- The President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF), Kheïreddine Zetchi, has stepped down from FIFA Council contest, according to EnnaharOnline news website, quoting an official statement by the Algerian Federation.
As such, Zetch withdrew his candidacy, at the last moment, from the race for the elections of the Council of the International Federation (FIFA), stating that he has not carried out the election campaign, after his file had been rejected earlier.
It is worth recalling that the elections will be conducted on March 13 in Morocco.
