President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune who chaired, Sunday, the periodic meeting of the Council of Ministers, approved the institution of May 27, date of the execution of the Martyr Mohamed Bouras, as a national day of Muslim scouts.

President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune who chaired, Sunday, the periodic meeting of the Council of Ministers, approved the institution of May 27, date of the execution of the Martyr Mohamed Bouras, as a national day of Muslim scouts.

“At the end of the meeting, President of the Republic approved the institution of May 27, date of execution of the Martyr Mohamed Bouras, national day of Muslim scouts, in order to immortalize the epos, preserve national memory and strengthen national solidarity.

Indeed, the institution is, also, an opportunity to express the State’s determination to develop the educational movement of voluntary service which inculcates the spirit of generosity and leadership “, specified the press release of the Presidency of the Republic.

Born on February 26, 1908 in the city of Miliana, Martyr Mohamed Bouras is the founder of the Algerian Muslim Scouts (SMA). He was executed by the French occupation forces on May 27, 1941 in Hussein Dey (Algiers).
