ALGIERS- Minister of Energy and Mines Mohamed Arkab and CEO of Total Group Patrick Pouyanné have discussed, on Monday in Algiers, the prospects for collaboration between the Total group and Sonatrach in structuring projects in Algeria.
According to a press release from the ministry, the two parties reviewed, during this meeting, which took place at the headquarters of the ministry, the relations between the Total Group and the Sonatrach Group, particularly in the gas fields as well as the prospects for collaboration between the two Groups in structuring projects in Algeria.
The two parties, also, discussed “the future projects to be carried out in liquefied natural gas (LNG), renewable energies, energy storage and petrochemicals, in particular the polypropylene project which is experiencing significant progress”, specified the same source.
To this end, the two parties reaffirmed their willingness to work to strengthen the partnership between the companies Sonatrach and Total, pointed out the communiqué.
