ALGIERS- Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra held, in New York, talks with his Portuguese counterpart Augusto Santos Silva, on the historical relations between the two countries.
Mr. Lamamra stated in a tweet on his official Twitter account that he held talks with the Portuguese Foreign Minister, during which they highlighted the distinguished level of historical relations between the two countries.
The latest developments in the Maghreb, the Sahel and the Sahara were also reviewed, as well as prospects for strengthening efforts to overcome common challenges in the Mediterranean region.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly, being held in New York until the 27th of this month and in which Lamamra is participating.
