National coach Djamel Belmadi paid a vibrant tribute to the martyrs of the glorious Algerian revolution, highlighting the courage and bravery of the sons of Algeria, men and women alike, who sacrificed themselves in order to enable us to live in dignity, a sacrifice from which “we derive, today, our pride and strength in defending national colors and the supreme interests of the country.”
In his message, on the occasion of the celebrations of the 67th anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious liberation revolution on the 1st of November 1954, published by the official website of the Algerian Football Federation, “Belmadi paid tribute and expressed appreciation to the martyrs of the revolution and the sacrifices of the Algerian people.”
Belmadi wrote: “On the occasion of this glorious and immortal memory in our hearts and minds, today, I cannot but bow to the spirit of our martyrs, who chose to sacrifice their pure souls and blood for Algeria to live free and independent.”
