ROME-The Algerian men’s handball team defeated their Italian counterpart with a score of 27 to 26, (halftime: 14-15), in a friendly match played, Sunday, at “Casa Della Pallamano” Hall in Chieti (200 km from Rome) under the preparations for the Mediterranean Games (June 25th - July 6th).
This is the second friendly match between the two selections, after the draw (22-22) in the first meeting played on Sunday.
Forty-seven years after having hosted the Mediterranean Games in Algiers in 1975, Algeria is hosting this sporting event, where 3434 athletes from 26 countries will have to compete in 24 sports.
