Justice: Former Prime Minister Bedoui remanded in custody

ALGIERS- The former Prime Minister Noureddine Bedoui was placed in pre-trial detention in El Harrach prison, in the eastern suburbs of Algiers. The decision was taken this Tuesday, August 23 by the indictment chamber of the court of Algiers, reported 360 news website.

The former Premier Bedoui was placed, Sunday, September 26, 2021, under judicial control, by the investigating judge at the economic and financial penal pole of the tribunal of Sidi M’Hamed (Algiers). Also deprived of his passport, the former prime minister – from late March to December 2019 – was heard on corruption cases when he was a Governor of Constantine.

The investigative judge also ordered, in the same case, the placement of the former Wali of Tizi Ouzou, Hussein Ouadah, under judicial control.
