ALGIERS – Heatwave will hit, as of today, Tuesday, August 30th, 2022, different provinces, with temperatures oscillating between 42° and 47° celsius in the shade, as announced by the National Office of Meteorology in a special weather report (BMS).
The office issued a red alert for high temperatures as the mercury climbs to over 47 degrees Celsius in the shade in some parts of the country.
The concerned provinces: The capital Algiers, Bouira, Tizi Ouzou, Boumerdes, Ain Defla, Chlef, and Relizane.
Bulletin validity: Daylong.
As for the following eastern coastal provinces: Bejaia, Jijel, Skikda, Annaba, and El Tarf, temperatures will hit 42° C in the shade.
Bulletin validity: Till Wednesday.
