ALGIERS- Algeria has vigorously condemned the terrorist attack which targeted, Tuesday, a unit of the Chadian defense and security forces in the country’s west, leaving dozens dead and injured, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad said Thursday in a statement.
“Algeria strongly condemns the terrorist attack perpetrated on November 22, 2022 against a unit of the Chadian defense and security forces on the island of Bouka-Tolorom which left dozens dead and injured,” said the same source.
“Algeria presents its sincere condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery to the injured,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs added in its press release, reiterating “Algeria’s
support for Chad, a sisterly country, and its brotherly people and government, in its fight against terrorist groups”.
Algeria has, once again, appealed to the international community to “combine international efforts to eradicate this dangerous scourge which threatens the security and stability of countries”, concluded the communiqué.
