Court of Algiers: Verdict of former Minister of National Solidarity Djamel Ould Abbes handed down

ALGIERS- The 6th Criminal Chamber of the Court of Algiers sentenced, on Sunday, to four (4) years in prison with a fine of four (4) million DA, the former Minister of National Solidarity, Djamel Ould Abbes for his involvement in a corruption case linked, in particular, to the squandering and embezzlement of public funds.

The chamber also rendered a verdict for the confiscation of the property of Djamel Ould Abbes.

Last August, the Economic and Financial Criminal Pole of the Tribunal of Sidi M’hamed (Algiers) sentenced Djamel Ould Abbes, in the same case, to three years in prison with a fine of one (1) million AD.
