ALGIERS-The Minister of National Education, Abdelhakim Belaabed announced, Thursday in Algiers, the completion of the integration operation of 62,000 contract teachers into stable positions, under the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
In a statement to the press on the sidelines of the closing of the work of a meeting on the preparation of the evaluation examination of the end of the primary cycle, Mr. Belaabed announced “the completion, this Wednesday, of the operation of integration of 62,000 contract teachers, mainly in the primary cycle, in application of the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, during the last Council of Ministers”.
Mr. Belaabed commended, on the occasion, the efforts made by the executives of his sector at the local and national levels, as well as the various ministerial departments having accompanied the process, in particular “the Ministry of Finance and the Civil Service Department under the direct supervision of the Prime Minister, Mr. Aïmene Benabderrahmane”.
Noting that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune ordered the immediate tenure of all contractual teachers in the education sector, whose number is 59,987 teachers, before late February 2023, said a statement from the Presidency of the Republic.
